Sialkot’s newly added franchise in the Pakistan Super League has officially confirmed its identity ahead of the highly anticipated 11th edition of the tournament. Ending weeks of speculation, the franchise has been named Sialkot Stallionz, a title that reconnects the city with one of the most dominant eras in Pakistan’s domestic T20 history.
The announcement was revealed through a visually striking 3D animated video shared on the franchise’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. The video showcased the team’s branding while building excitement among fans nationwide. The accompanying caption read: “You guessed it. You waited. Now, I am proud to officially introduce SIALKOT STALLIONZ. Excited to be part of the Pakistan Super League journey.”
By choosing the name Sialkot Stallionz, the franchise has deliberately paid tribute to the legendary Sialkot Stallions, a team that ruled Pakistan’s domestic T20 competitions for several years. The Stallions were a dominant force in the National T20 Cup, securing an unprecedented six titles between 2005 and 2012 — a record that remains unmatched.
Sialkot New Logo For PSL

One of the most remarkable achievements associated with the Sialkot Stallions was their 25-match unbeaten streak, a world record in domestic T20 cricket that still stands today. This legacy of consistency, dominance, and fearless cricket has made the Stallions name iconic among Pakistani cricket fans.
Over the years, the original Sialkot Stallions produced and featured several prominent players who went on to represent Pakistan at the international level. Renowned names such as Shoaib Malik, Imran Nazir, Haris Sohail, and other accomplished cricketers were part of the team during its golden period, further strengthening its historical significance.
The newly branded PSL franchise was acquired by OZ Developers, owned by Hamza Majeed and Kamil Khan, during the historic Pakistan Super League 2026 auction. The bidding event took place at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad on January 8, drawing significant attention from investors and cricket stakeholders.
OZ Developers secured the Sialkot franchise with a record-breaking bid of Rs 1.85 billion, making it one of the most expensive franchise acquisitions in PSL history. The investment reflects strong confidence in the league’s commercial growth and Sialkot’s cricketing market.
With its name now officially unveiled, attention will shift toward the franchise’s next steps, including team management appointments, player drafts, branding strategies, and fan engagement initiatives. The return of the Stallionz identity has already generated excitement, and expectations are high as Sialkot prepares to make its debut in PSL Season 11.
The Sialkot Stallionz enter the league carrying a powerful legacy — one that fans hope will translate into success on the PSL stage.
