South African star Rilee Rossouw added another notable chapter to his Pakistan Super League journey on Wednesday, reaching the landmark of 100 appearances during Quetta Gladiators clash against Peshawar Zalmi at National Bank Stadium.
With this milestone, Rossouw became only the fourth cricketer in PSL history to reach a century of matches—and notably, the first overseas player to do so—highlighting his longevity and consistent presence in the league.
Before the game, Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar honored the left-hander with a commemorative trophy. The award featured a gold gladiator-style helmet mounted on a polished wooden base, accompanied by an inscription recognizing Rossouw’s enduring contributions to the franchise and the tournament.
Rossouw’s PSL story dates back to 2017 when he first donned the Gladiators’ colors. He played a key role in their title-winning campaign in 2019 before moving to Multan Sultans, where he enjoyed further success, including another championship triumph in 2021. After a productive spell with the Sultans, the aggressive left-hander rejoined Quetta ahead of the 2024 season and has remained a central figure since.
Across his PSL career, Rossouw has established himself as one of the competition’s most reliable performers. He sits among the league’s leading run-getters, amassing 2,366 runs in 94 innings at an average of 31.54 while maintaining an impressive strike rate above 144. His tally includes three centuries and 11 half-centuries, underlining his ability to deliver impactful innings at crucial moments.
