KARACHI — RawalPindiz finally broke their prolonged slump in Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, clinching their first win after a string of eight consecutive losses. The turnaround came with a composed victory over Islamabad United at the National Bank Stadium on Thursday.
Despite the result, the league standings remain unchanged. Islamabad United continue to occupy third place with nine points, having recorded four wins, three defeats, and one no-result, maintaining a strong net run rate of 1.082.
RawalPindiz, although buoyed by the win, still sit at the bottom of the table. They now have two points from nine matches, with their net run rate at -1.330.
Elsewhere, Multan Sultans hold second position with 12 points from nine games, trailing table-toppers Peshawar Zalmi, who have already secured a playoff berth.
Opting to field first, RawalPindiz executed their bowling plans effectively, restricting the three-time champions Islamabad United to 137 all out in 20 overs.
