LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to showcase its talent on the global stage once again as the second international roadshow is scheduled for New York, USA. T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha will headline the event, leading a roster of prominent players who will bring star power and excitement to fans and investors alike.
Alongside Agha, the PSL will feature Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, and Saud Shakeel, promising an engaging experience for attendees. The announcement was officially made through the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) website, with the New York event slated for 13 December at 4 p.m.
PSL’s Global Roadshow: A Strategic Move
According to the PCB, the New York roadshow forms part of its international outreach strategy. The initiative aims to attract global investors ahead of the auction for two new HBL PSL franchises, scheduled for 6 January 2026.
“The New York Roadshow is designed to demonstrate the league’s commercial strength, growing global fan base, and long-term growth potential,” the PCB stated in its press release. For inquiries regarding the event, officials can be contacted at [email protected].
This roadshow marks the second international promotional event within a week. The first took place on 7 December at Lord’s Cricket Ground, featuring marquee names such as Babar Azam, former captain Wasim Akram, Sahibzada Farhan, Haris Rauf, commentator Ramiz Raja, and singer Ali Zafar.
PSL Expansion: New Teams, Bigger Opportunities
Since its inception in 2016 with five teams, the PSL has grown steadily, including the addition of the Multan Sultans in 2018. Now, with two new franchises set to join, the league will expand to eight teams, marking its first major restructuring in seven years. This expansion is expected to enhance competition, increase fan engagement, and attract further investment opportunities globally.
The New York roadshow not only highlights the league’s sporting excellence but also reinforces its position as a commercially significant T20 franchise league with an ever-expanding international audience.
Fans, investors, and cricket enthusiasts are encouraged to follow updates from the PCB and join the event to witness PSL’s growth and global outreach firsthand.
