The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized a 16-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle, with the tour set to take place next month in Bangladesh.
The series will open at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, where the first Test is scheduled from 8 to 12 May. The action will then move to Sylhet International Cricket Stadium for the second and final Test, running from 16 to 20 May.
Shan Masood will continue to lead the national side in the longest format, as selectors place confidence in continuity and stability at the top.
A notable highlight of the squad selection is the inclusion of four uncapped players—Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori—each rewarded for strong domestic performances and potential at the international level.
Meanwhile, several selected players, including Azan Awais, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Noman Ali, and Sajid Khan, are currently engaged in red-ball training at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, where preparations for the challenging away series are in full swing.
To further sharpen readiness, the squad will gather in Karachi for a training camp starting 27 April, which will continue until 1 May. The team is then expected to depart for Bangladesh on 2 May.
Players still involved in the ongoing Pakistan Super League will join the preparation camp after completing their franchise commitments. Those featuring in the PSL final will directly link up with the squad in Bangladesh ahead of the series.
