Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the national men’s team will tour Sri Lanka for a three-match T20 International series in January 2026, part of preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The PCB stated the Green Shirts will travel to Sri Lanka next month for three T20Is on January 7, 9, and 11. All matches are at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium (RDICS).
ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled for February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. Under the Hybrid Model, Pakistan will play all matches in Sri Lanka, avoiding travel to India while ensuring neutral venues.
Sources confirm PCB and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) recently finalised arrangements after continuous negotiations.
The series will provide Pakistan with valuable match practice in Sri Lankan conditions just weeks before the World Cup. The Dambulla pitches closely resemble the surfaces Pakistan will encounter during the mega event, giving the squad a crucial opportunity to settle combinations and finalise strategies.
All three matches will be hosted in Dambulla due to renovation work at the R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo) and the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, as Sri Lanka prepares for the global event.
