Pakistan Fall to Ninth After England Test Whitewash
Pakistan have dropped to ninth in the ICC Test rankings, marking their lowest-ever position in the format after England completed a 3-0 series whitewash. England defeated Pakistan at Headingley, Lord’s and Edgbaston, winning the first Test by an innings and 103 runs before securing a 194-run victory in the second.
The hosts completed the clean sweep with an eight-wicket win in the final Test. Pakistan’s difficult run has also left them at the bottom of the World Test Championship standings, with two wins from nine matches. They have won only seven of their last 20 Tests and suffered six series whitewashes in their previous 12 series.
