A major decision regarding the ICC Champions Trophy was likely to be taken in the meeting to be held today, but the IC meeting has ended without any conclusion.

On the other hand, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has also taken a blunt stance and said that Pakistan will not accept the hybrid model under any circumstances, our principled stance on holding the Champions Trophy.

More details of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s contact with ICC officials have also come to light. The PCB has officially informed the ICC that the hybrid model is not acceptable. He further said that it is not possible for Pakistan to repeatedly go to India to play cricket and India does not come to Pakistan.

Pakistan has taken a principled stand and said that if India is given any advantage, the Pakistani team will not come out to play against its traditional rival in any field in future events.

It should be noted that the PCB asked the ICC to come up with an acceptable formula before the meeting, an acceptable formula should be made so that the participation of all members in the holding of the Champions Trophy can be ensured.

On the other hand, according to sources, if Pakistan does not agree to the hybrid model, then there is an option to shift the event to Sri Lanka.
