DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the release of additional tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, further boosting excitement among cricket fans worldwide. The much-anticipated global tournament is scheduled to begin on 7 February 2026 and will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ICC confirmed that the newly released tickets will be available at fan-friendly and highly affordable prices, ensuring wider access for supporters across different regions. The move follows an overwhelming response to the initial ticket sale that began in December last year.
According to the ICC, more than two million tickets were already made available for matches across eight iconic venues in the two host nations. The strong demand reflected the growing global interest in the shortest and most explosive format of the game.

Reaffirming its commitment to inclusivity, the ICC highlighted that ticket pricing for the 2026 edition has been set at record-low levels. Entry prices start at just INR 100 in India (approximately USD 1.11) and LKR 1000 in Sri Lanka (around USD 3.26), making it one of the most accessible ICC events in history.
“The ICC has prioritised fan engagement by introducing affordable ticket options, allowing supporters from all backgrounds to experience the excitement of the T20 World Cup live in the stadiums,” the governing body stated.
The 10th edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup will run until 8 March 2026, featuring 20 international teams competing for cricket’s most prestigious T20 title. The tournament promises high-octane action, marquee clashes, and intense rivalries spread over a month-long schedule.
Matches will be hosted across major cricketing hubs, including Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kandy, and Colombo, offering fans in both countries ample opportunities to witness world-class cricket.
The tournament will officially kick off on 8 February, with Pakistan facing the Netherlands in Sri Lanka in the opening fixture. Later the same day, the action will shift to India, where two-time champions West Indies will take on Bangladesh in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
The opening day will conclude with a blockbuster evening match in Mumbai, as hosts and defending champions India lock horns with the United States, setting the tone for an action-packed competition.
With additional tickets now available and excitement steadily building, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most widely attended and fan-centric tournaments in cricket history.
