NAVI MUMBAI: The ICC Women’s World Cup final witnessed a delayed start on Sunday at the DY Patil Stadium, as heavy rain pushed the toss by nearly two hours. Once play was set to begin, South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt won the toss and chose to bowl first against India.

India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will rely on their explosive opening duo Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, while South Africa’s experienced all-rounders Marizanne Kapp and Sune Luus will play a pivotal role in their bowling attack.

Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting this encounter as both sides aim to etch their names in cricketing history.
