DUBAI: Saim Ayub has reclaimed the No.1 position in the ICC T20I All-Rounder Rankings after a dominant tri-series performance for Pakistan against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
The 23-year-old opener delivered all-round contributions, blasting 118 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 114.56 and capturing three wickets in four matches. His impactful knocks of 27 and 36, along with a wicket in each of the final two games, propelled Pakistan to success and vaulted his ranking to 295 points, relegating Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza—now on 289 points—to second place.
Mohammad Nawaz also shone for Pakistan, producing exceptional all-round performances throughout the tournament. His consistency secured both the Player of the Series and Player of the Match award in the final. Nawaz topped the bowling chart with 10 wickets in five games at an average of 10.20. He also hammered 52 runs at a blistering 162.50 strike rate, rising three spots to fourth place in the ICC all-rounder rankings.
Nawaz also moved up to 11th in T20I bowling, while Abrar Ahmed reached fourth after taking six wickets in four matches.
Other movements in the rankings include:
- Shaheen Afridi is retaining his 18th place.
- Sufiyan Muqeem dropped to 32nd
- Salman Mirza rising to 34th
- Saim Ayub climbed 12 places in the bowling rankings to 39th
Sahibzada Farhan, the series’ top scorer with 191 runs at 146.92, slipped to sixth in batting rankings.
Babar Azam fell to 30th. Saim Ayub rose to 35th.
Salman Ali Agha jumped 11 spots to 52nd.
Mohammad Rizwan, not in the squad, dropped to 55th.
