In a proud moment for Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem clinched the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw final at the Asian Athletics Championship 2025, held in Gumi, South Korea. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was among the first to extend his heartfelt congratulations, calling Arshad’s victory a “glorious achievement for the entire nation.”

Arshad delivered an outstanding performance with a remarkable throw of 86.40 meters, securing the top podium spot in a high-stakes international competition. This was his first major appearance since the 2024 Paris Olympics, and he didn’t disappoint.

“Well done, Arshad Nadeem! We are immensely proud of you,” stated Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in a public message. He also praised Arshad’s coach and family, acknowledging their silent yet significant contributions behind the scenes.

Calling him a “true son of the soil,” Naqvi emphasized how Arshad has once again made Pakistan stand tall on the international stage. “His dedication, resilience, and discipline are truly inspirational,” he added.

The javelin champion built up momentum with throws of 75.64m and 76.80m before unleashing his medal-winning throw. His perseverance paid off in the final round, marking a triumphant return to the global spotlight.

Naqvi went on to highlight how this win not only brought joy to millions of Pakistanis but also represented a significant victory over top-tier athletes from competing nations, including India. “Beating the best from India and other countries makes this win even more historic,” the PCB Chairman noted.

The entire nation is beaming with pride as Arshad continues to set new benchmarks for Pakistani athletics. His gold medal is more than just a personal win—it’s a celebration of Pakistan’s rising stature in international sports.
