Former Pakistan Test cricketer and umpire Nazir Junior passes away

Former Pakistan Test cricketer and umpire Nazir Junior has passed away. He was seriously ill for the past week and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lahore.

Former Test cricketer Nazir Junior has represented Pakistan in 14 Tests and 4 ODIs, taking a total of 37 wickets in his career.

Nazir Junior is also the first spinner to take the most wickets in the first innings of a debut Test for Pakistan, 7 wickets. Nazir Junior also performed umpiring duties in 15 ODIs and 5 Test matches.
