DOHA: The Pakistan Shaheens have officially arrived in Doha ahead of the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, set to begin on November 14 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium.
Under the leadership of middle-order batter Muhammad Irfan Khan, the young Shaheens will kick off their campaign against Oman on the opening day of the eight-nation T20 event.
According to the schedule, Pakistan will hold their first training session on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. local time, focusing on final tactical and skill-based preparations before the tournament begins.
The ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 aims to spotlight emerging cricket talent across Asia. Pakistan has been drawn into Group B, featuring Oman, India ‘A’, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Meanwhile, Group A includes Afghanistan ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka ‘A’.
After facing Oman in their opening match, the Shaheens are set for a high-voltage encounter against arch-rivals India ‘A’ on November 16. Their final group stage clash will be against the UAE on November 18.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals scheduled for November 21, followed by the final match on November 23.
Before departing for Qatar, the Pakistan Shaheens completed a four-day intensive training camp at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Centre in Karachi (from November 8 to 11), where players worked on improving their skills, fitness, and match strategy under expert supervision.
