Pakistan’s athletic hero Arshad Nadeem has once again etched his name in the history books by claiming the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw at the Asian Athletics Championship 2025, held in Gumi, South Korea. With a phenomenal 86.40-meter throw, he topped the competition and lifted the nation’s spirits.

Returning to the international arena for the first time since the Paris Olympics, where he brought home Pakistan’s first-ever Olympic gold in a track and field event, Arshad proved that his dominance remains unshaken.

A Throw to Remember

The Gumi stadium roared with pride as ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ echoed through the air during Arshad’s final attempt. On his sixth and last throw, he launched the javelin with unmatched strength and precision, surpassing his earlier mark of 85.57 meters and sealing the gold.

Here’s a breakdown of his performance:

  • First throw: 75.64m
  • Second throw: 76.80m
  • Final and best throw: 86.40m

This final effort not only broke his own earlier mark but also set the bar high for all future Asian competitors.

A Dominant Comeback

Even before the final, Arshad had turned heads in the qualification round with an eye-popping 86.34m throw on his first and only attempt—sending a clear warning to his competitors.

His unwavering focus, resilience, and drive to represent Pakistan on the global stage continue to inspire millions.

Nationwide Praise and Celebrations

The achievement was celebrated across the country, with top officials and fans hailing Arshad’s historic win:

  • Major General (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, Chairman of the South Asian Athletics Association, extended heartfelt congratulations.
  • Brigadier (R) Wajahat Hussain Sahi, President of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan, declared it a proud day for the entire nation.
  • Colonel (R) Shah Jehan, Secretary of the federation, along with other officials, praised Arshad’s dedication and perseverance.

Arshad Nadeem – A Symbol of National Pride

This latest triumph further solidifies Arshad Nadeem’s legacy as one of Pakistan’s greatest athletes. His journey from humble beginnings to standing atop the podium at Asia’s biggest stage is nothing short of inspirational.

As Pakistan celebrates this golden moment, all eyes now turn to the upcoming global championships, where Arshad will once again carry the hopes of a nation.
