DUBAI: ILT20 Season 4 kicked off in spectacular fashion on Tuesday night. The Dubai International Stadium transformed into a dazzling hub of fireworks, music, and celebration. Thousands of cricket fans — especially from Pakistan — gathered to mark both UAE National Day and the grand opening of the region’s most anticipated T20 league.
The night opened with a power-packed performance from Pakistani sensation Ali Zafar. He energised the crowd with a medley of his biggest hits. Moments later, National Day–inspired fireworks illuminated the iconic Ring of Fire. The sky turned gold as blazing arcs cascaded over the stadium roof.
Living up to its reputation, the Ring of Fire produced a breathtaking visual spectacle. Fans responded with loud cheers as golden trails fell like shimmering rain across the arena, creating a moment of pure wonder.

Inside the stadium, the pitch transformed into a vibrant display of red, green, white, and black smoke — the colours of the UAE flag. This created one of the most colourful tournament openers the league has seen.
Adding to the festive spirit was the redesigned fan park, welcoming visitors as a “Crickmas Wonderland.” This feature connects the league’s opening week with the holiday season.
This year’s ILT20 promises extra excitement for Pakistani cricket followers. Stars like Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, and Hassan Nawaz appear for various franchises. Naseem’s signing with Desert Vipers has drawn particular buzz. Skipper Lockie Ferguson predicts the young pacer’s blistering 150kph speed “will make a major impact” this season.
The tournament’s new December–January window is adjusted ahead of next year’s T20 World Cup. This timing has perfectly aligned with the UAE’s festive period. It boosts crowd attendance and elevates the overall atmosphere.
