PSL 10 Streaming Suspended in India Amid Political Backlash

In a surprising turn of events, FanCode, the official digital broadcaster of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India, has suspended the live streaming of PSL 10. The decision reportedly stems from the recent Pahalgam incident, which has sparked political tensions between India and Pakistan.

The move is being seen as part of a broader agenda, allegedly influenced by the Modi-led Indian government, to intertwine politics with sports. Media outlets suggest that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has indirectly contributed to this step, stirring controversy across the cricketing world.

As of now, all PSL-related content, including match replays and highlight videos, has been removed from FanCode’s platform. The tournament, which began on April 11 and is slated to run through May 18, will no longer be accessible to Indian cricket fans.

In addition to FanCode’s action, industry insiders hint that Sony Sports Network, which holds the satellite broadcasting rights for PSL in India, may follow suit and halt its coverage in the coming days.

This development has reignited the debate about the politicization of sports and the impact such decisions have on the global cricket community and fans alike.
