DUBAI: The ICC has named Mohammad Nawaz, Simon Harmer, and Taijul Islam as nominees for the Men’s Player of the Month award for November 2025.
In its press release, the ICC praised the trio for delivering exceptional performances across multiple formats, stating that these players “produced remarkable match-winning contributions for their teams throughout November.”
Simon Harmer – South Africa’s Match-Winning Off-Spinner
Simon Harmer’s 17 wickets at 8.94 in the Test series against India gave South Africa a 2-0 victory—their first in India since 2000.
Harmer’s eight wickets in the first Test and nine in the second secured him Player of the Series honours.
Taijul Islam – Bangladesh’s Leading Test Weapon
Taijul Islam led Bangladesh’s Test win over Ireland, taking 13 wickets at 26.30 as the top wicket-taker.
Mohammad Nawaz – Pakistan’s All-Round Star of the Season
Mohammad Nawaz excelled in Pakistan’s ODI and T20I home season, delivering with bat and ball.
Nawaz was central to Pakistan’s tri-series win over Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
- ODIs: 104 runs at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 114.28, along with four wickets.
- T20Is: 52 runs and an impressive 11 wickets at 12.72.
- Notably, his exceptional spell of 3/17 in the tri-series final against Sri Lanka earned him the Player of the Series award.
With all three contenders delivering exceptional performances, November’s Men’s Player of the Month award promises a closely contested finish.
