Here’s Pakistan’s probable playing XI for tri-series opener against New Zealand

The first match of the tri-nation series between Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa will take place tomorrow, featuring Pakistan and New Zealand.

The middle order is expected to include Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan, Tayyab Tahir, Salman Ali Agha, and Khushdil Shah.  

In the bowling attack, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed are likely to feature.  

Pakistan’s 15-member squad also includes Usman Khan, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Hasnain, and Faheem Ashraf, who may get opportunities in later matches.  

Meanwhile, South Africa’s team has arrived in Pakistan for the tri-nation series. The visiting team will rest today before beginning their practice sessions tomorrow.  

On the other hand, New Zealand’s bowling coach, Jacob Oram, emphasized the importance of the tri-series ahead of the Champions Trophy, stating that it will help boost the team’s confidence.  

Pakistan’s vice-captain, Salman Ali Agha, expressed confidence in the team’s combination but admitted that they will miss Saim Ayub in the series.  

The opening match of the tri-series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played at Gaddafi Stadium tomorrow at 2:00 PM (Pakistan time).

  • February 8: Pakistan vs. New Zealand (Day-Night) – Gaddafi Stadium  
  • February 10: New Zealand vs. South Africa (Day Match) – Gaddafi Stadium  
  • February 12: Pakistan vs. South Africa (Day-Night) – National Stadium, Karachi  
  • Final (February 14): National Stadium, Karachi (Day-Night)
