Lauderhill, Florida – Pakistan kicked off the three-match T20I series against West Indies with a solid 14-run win at Central Broward Regional Park on Thursday.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, West Indies skipper Shai Hope hoped to put pressure on Pakistan early, but the Men in Green delivered a composed batting performance.
Saim Ayub Leads the Charge
Pakistan posted 178/6 in their 20 overs, anchored by a brilliant knock from Saim Ayub, who smashed 57 runs to set the tone. Fakhar Zaman chipped in with a quick 28, while Hasan Nawaz (24), Faheem Ashraf (16), and Sahibzada Farhan (14) added useful contributions.
Captain Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on 11, and Mohammad Haris provided finishing support with 6 not out.
