Second ODI, Zimbabwe sets Pakistan a target of 146 runs to win

In the second ODI, Zimbabwe set Pakistan a target of 146 runs to win, the host team was bowled out for 145 runs in 32.3 overs.

Pakistan’s debutant Abrar Ahmed took 4 wickets, Salman Ali Agha took three wickets, and Saim Ayub and Faisal Akram took one wicket each, while one batter was run out.

Earlier, Zimbabwe had won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan in the second ODI of the series.

In the second match of the series being played in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine said that they will try to win this match and win the series for the first time against Pakistan. This will be a historic opportunity for our cricket.

On this occasion, national team captain Muhammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bat first. He said that he would try to ensure success by winning the match. Two changes have been made in the team. Spinners Abrar Ahmed and Tayyab Tahir will make their debuts, while Muhammad Hasnain and Haseebullah have been dropped.

Zimbabwe’s squad includes captain Craig Irvine, Brian Bennett, Jewelord Gambi, Trevor Gwandu, Todanashe Maromani, Brandon Mawata, Blessing Mazarbani, Richard Ngarwa, Devon Myers, Sikandar Raza and Shaun Williams.

The Pakistani squad includes captain Muhammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq, Kamran Ghulam, Tayyab Tahir, Salman Ali Agha, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Aamir Jamal, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf and Faisal Akram.

It should be noted that in the rain-affected first match, Zimbabwe won by 80 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method and took a one-nil lead in the three-match series.
